Adding an item to a GNOME menu is easy.

1. right-click on the Applications menu
2. Choose Edit menus
3. A window called Main menu would open up. Choose a menu from the left pane
4. Click on New Item and fill in the Create Launcher form
5. Close the window and that's it.
